We were thrilled for the opportunity to host local students once again for the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) summer camp. The camp is operated by Bridging Cultures and Todos Juntos in partnership with the Canby Educational Foundation and Canby School District.
Nearly 60 students entering grades 5-7 spent a summer morning at DirectLink as they learned about internet and voice technology, toured the Central Office, saw a fiber splicing demonstration, tested their knowledge with a trivia game, and heard from Brad Johnston, CEO and Co-Founder of Tanoshi, which aims to close the digital learning gap for youth in America by focusing on coding and other computer programming skills.
DirectLink's Data Operations, Engineering, Outside Plant, and Central Office teams loved having the kids on campus and teaching them the ins and outs of what we do.
